Emotive Portrait – Distress

My daughter was just heading out to a friends birthday party and I noticed how ‘classic’ she looked in her outfit. So out came the camera and I nearly made her late with an ‘off the cuff’ photoshoot. A further 30 minutes tracking in Photoshop and behold, a haunting piece of art.

When I do this kind of imagery I always try to convey a sense of emotion, after all every photograph taken captures an essence of a time. What is interesting here is an implied undercurrent.. can you tell what that is?
